Welcome to the Sam Sorenson State Farm Insurance Agency

I’ve spent more than a decade in the insurance industry, with nearly nine years serving customers through State Farm and six years leading our local Norwalk office. Our agency is proud to serve Norwalk and the greater Des Moines area (such as Carlisle, Cumming, Prole, and Martensdale) with their insurance and financial needs.

I grew up in Neola, Iowa, and earned my degree in Finance from the University of Iowa, where my interest in insurance really began to take shape. During college, I worked for a State Farm agent in Iowa City, and growing up with a father who is also an insurance agent gave me early exposure to the profession and a strong appreciation for the role this work plays in people’s lives.

Now, I live locally in Norwalk with my wonderful wife, our son Jack, and our two dogs, Guinness and Elon. Outside of work, I enjoy being active and spending time outdoors. Golfing, biking, hiking, and skiing are some of my favorite ways to recharge and stay connected with the people and places I love!
