Sam Sorenson

Thanks for stopping by! I’m Sam Sorenson, your local State Farm agent in Norwalk, Iowa. I’ve spent more than a decade in the insurance industry, including nine years with State Farm and more than six years leading our Norwalk office. My team and I are proud to serve our neighbors throughout Norwalk, the greater Des Moines area, and surrounding communities including Carlisle, Cumming, Prole, and Martensdale.

Insurance has been a part of my life for a long time. I grew up in Neola, Iowa, with a father who is also an insurance agent, so I saw early on the important role an agent can play in helping families protect what they’ve worked hard to build. While earning my Finance degree from the University of Iowa, I worked for a State Farm agent in Iowa City. That experience ultimately helped turn what had always been familiar to me into the career I wanted to pursue.

Today, Norwalk is home. I live here with my wife, Emma, our son, Jack, and our two dogs, Guinness and Elon. When I’m away from the office, you’ll usually find me spending time with family and friends or getting outside. I especially enjoy golfing, biking, hiking, and skiing whenever I get the chance.
